At H&R Block, we know that different folks like to get their tax information different ways. Preparing taxes can present a steep learning curve, so we keep in mind that folks generally fall into 3 categories of learners:

  • Visual
  • Auditory
  • Kinesthetic, or learn by doing

Not a lot of people learn by smelling, so my personal dream of a scratch-and-sniff tax program has yet to come to fruition. However, since something like 95% of folks are either visual or auditory learners, we do offer lots of videos to help you make sense of your tax situation.

When you use H&R Block At Home – either online or software – we’ll link you to our Getting to Know Your Taxes videos. These short movies provide the lowdown on topics that impact your return. We focus on providing the basic info you need with the clear language and visuals that work best for you.

The Getting to Know Your Taxes videos are easy to understand. We have images and charts for visual learners. And for auditory learners, our friendly host clearly explains how the latest tax law changes impact you and your family.

We’re in the process of updating our videos for next year, so you get accurate and timely information about your taxes. For a sneak peek, head over to YouTube to see our videos for the 2010 tax year.
