From haute hotels, to hot food, I’ve had a fascinating and exhilarating career thus far.
I’ve been a hotel reviewer, a restaurant blogger, a lodging news editor, and, most recently, a ghostwriter for a particularly witty beverage coaster – and none of those gigs proved glamorous enough. And so: taxes! Hold onto your calculators, folks.
I’m thrilled to be signing on with the H&R Block social team; my role here will be, primarily, helping to create and manage the editorial content on this shiny new blog. All of us here are fortunate enough to work alongside the most brilliant minds in the tax business, and I assure you: the information you’ll receive is coming from them. I’ll just be here to help to put that information into a language that won’t make the sparkling eyes of a non-tax-expert glaze over entirely.
We’re not setting out to make taxes sexy; we’re all reasonable people. But our team’s aim is to bring you informative, accessible content that goes far beyond the tax conversation. Money touches almost every part of our lives – and we’ll be bringing you personal finance tips, advice, news and plenty of aesthetically pleasing informative delights (like this little ditty) to keep you entertained and in the know, tax season or not.
Let’s get this party started.
Note: This week we welcomed a new member to the H&R Block Social Media team – Jenna Bromberg. The growing Social Media team here at H&R Block team brings you the new Block Talk Blog as well as the great content and discussions you see on both Facebook and Twitter. In her role, Jenna will continue to bring you informative, fun and useful content here on the blog. She’s new to taxes but her experience bringing world-class content to customers and clients is second to none. Jenna is our new Social Content Manager, and before bursting onto the cosmopolitan tax scene, Jenna helped manage the national social media programs at Houlihan’s Restaurants, Inc. and was a copywriter for all three brands in the HRI family. Jenna was born in Canada, grew up in Texas, graduated from Cornell and started her editorial career as a hotel news editor and reviewer in NYC. She digs food, wine, cooking, fitness, colorful sneakers, hybrid cars, internet memes and puns. Almost every photo on her iPhone is of her cat. Please welcome her. – Scott Gulbransen, Director Social Media.
