Happy 90th Birthday, Henry Bloch!

This week, H&R Block associates and members of the Kansas City community are wishing H&R Block co-founder Henry W. Bloch a happy 90th birthday.

Henry has achieved a number of significant milestones in his lifetime — and has been profoundly generous with his time and money over the years. He flew 31 combat missions while serving in the Army in WWII. He has contributed millions of dollars to help students and others in the community through the H&R Block Foundation and the UMKC Bloch School of Management. He opened the Bloch Building at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. He led a three-year, $85 million campaign to build the recently completed St. Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute.

And by founding H&R Block with his brother, Henry has helped more than 575 million taxpayers and counting.

H&R Block Client Support Center associates (along with a few VIP guests) will join Mr. Bloch for a special birthday celebration this Wednesday in recognition of his generous, entrepreneurial spirit. Until then: best wishes on your 90th, Mr. Bloch!
