Is Your South by Southwest Trip Tax Deductible? [GRAPHIC]

March 7, 2013 : Jenna Bromberg - Past Contributor

As we prepare to head to Austin this weekend, the H&R Block social media team can offer fellow South by Southwest Interactive attendees three solid pieces of advice:

1. Get plenty of sleep tonight.

2. Pack an umbrella.

3. Keep detailed, accurate records of the expenses you incur during SXSW — especially if you’re an entrepreneur or small business owner. In some cases, those expenses could translate to tax deductions on your 2013 tax return.

Wondering whether you’ll be able to deduct your badge, travel expenses or even your new app’s VIP launch party? Follow along with our tax hero as she explores the wide world of SXSW-related deductions.

See you in Austin.
